Sometimes it’s hard to change But you’re doing nothing when you stay the same! What about all your plans? To caught up playing the game, all those games You know my name, don’t turn away You know my name, what’s my name I’m staying gold! I’m staying gold! I’m staying gold! For me …………. Not for you GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD Life is only 10% of what happens to you, to you GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD And the 90, the other 90, well that’s how you respond GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD Maybe we could make time to stand still But I never would - never will I see change as the enemy The Enemy of complacency This ain’t growing old Embrace the change & stay gold Don’t wanna see us stop not start

You said We could whatever We want We want We said We could whatever We want We want You’ve really landed You really landed You’ve really landed You’ve really landed on your knees It’s hard to stumble Ya know it’s hard to stumble It’s hard to stumble It’s hard to stumble when you’re on knees And then you count to five Out come those knives But you never felt so alive But when you get to nine There’s no guarantees this time Not until your life’s on that line
6.
It’s about time, it’s your time. It’s about time we were leaving It’s about time, it’s your time. It’s about time we all left Isn’t it time I learnt your language? Should I just say no Did you ever hear what was said? Do you think we’ll ever know It’s like a simple conversation With a complicated man Too busy hiding all that meaning Don’t you see we understand And the bass continues to beat While we all remain asleep Dulled by their simple rhythm Watch out here comes collision Look out here comes collision

Fasterlouder.com.au - December 2004 Review:

If you had to sum up Sydney’s Twin City Faction in one word it would be a difficult task – but exciting definitely springs to mind. This band are exciting, while ‘melodic hardcore’ or whatever you want to call it seems to be the trend among bands at the moment, with its catchy hooks and duelling screamed/sung vocals (which is often hit and miss), there is a definite lack of passion and excitement in a lot of the newer bands breaking through. This is where Twin City Faction come in to blow you away with their intense brand of punk and hardcore sounds.

The band have built a solid fan base with their explosive live shows around the traps, Your Secret’s Safe With Me… And All My Friends is their newest recording. The six tracks on here are all excellent, but the standouts would be Your Secret’s Safe With Me and It’s Hard To Stumble When You’re On Your Knees. The throat shredding growls and bratty retorts dominate the straightforward guitar riffs, the frantic outbursts are intense at the right time, and the drums are hit with such force you can almost feel the sticks splinter.

I’ve Seen The Future And I’ve Left It Behind is an instrumental, which was a surprise at first, but now it’s hard to imagine the track with vocals over it. The only drawback is that the vocals can often make it a difficult listen for those who haven’t quite acquired a taste for screams. Otherwise, this is highly recommended to anyone whose weakness is tough and dirty punk.
